Volleyball Recap: Friday's Win Is LEE's Fifth in Last Six Outings

While LEE didn't have the best season last year (they finished 16-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the United South Panthers on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Friday.

Madelyn Weis paced LEE's offense, picking up eight kills. Weis got some help from Chloe Bengoechea and her 19 assists. Finally, Alaina Ruiz kept LEE's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

LEE has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for United South, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coincidentally, LEE and United South will both be playing Canyon Lake the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face Canyon Lake at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, while the Volunteers will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
