The Bosco Tech Tigers will face off against the Northwood Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bosco Tech has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
With a playoff game on the line, Bosco Tech rose to the challenge on Friday. They breezed by the Eagles at home to the tune of 104-77. Bosco Tech's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, Northwood waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. Everything went their way against Huntington Beach as Northwood made off with a 64-44 win. Given Northwood's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Huntington Beach is ranked 264th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zaid Yunis out in front who scored 24 points along with six rebounds. Yunis is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidd Raj, who scored 15 points along with two blocks.
Bosco Tech pushed their record up to 21-8 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Northwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.
