Plainfield is 0-4 against the Bobcats since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Plainfield Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Bacon Academy Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Plainfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 22nd).
On Saturday, Plainfield had to suffer through a rough 55-26 loss at the hands of the Whippets. Plainfield has not had much luck with the Whippets recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, Bacon Academy entered their tilt with the Redmen with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Bacon Academy came out on top against the Redmen by a score of 48-35 on Saturday.
Plainfield's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Bacon Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5.
Plainfield took a serious blow against the Bobcats when the teams last played back in February of 2022, falling 61-28. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Plainfield was down 34-13.
