Silverdale Academy is 0-10 against Notre Dame since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Silverdale Academy Seahawks will head out on the road to face off against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Silverdale Academy has seven straight victories, Notre Dame has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, Silverdale Academy strolled past Soddy Daisy with points to spare, taking the game 58-44.
Silverdale Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Houston Holland, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Okpara, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame's 24-10 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. The game between Notre Dame and Chattanooga Central wasn't particularly close, with Notre Dame falling 60-46.
Silverdale Academy's win lifted them to 7-0 while Soddy Daisy's defeat dropped them down to 0-3.
Silverdale Academy and Notre Dame were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February, but Silverdale Academy came up empty-handed after a 57-56 defeat. Can Silverdale Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
