Josue Tellez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Ash Fork's points. Parnell Tsosie was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Red Mesa's loss came despite strong showings from Jonah Herbert and Jerwin Begay. Herbert dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Begay scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. The game was Herbert's 14th in a row with at least ten points.
Ash Fork now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Red Mesa, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ash Fork will take on Seligman at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seligman is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games. As for Red Mesa, they will be playing at home against Rock Point at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
