Durant took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ropers on Saturday. Durant's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Will Rogers College's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dkarrion Titsworth, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Titsworth has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Branden Crosslen, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Durant has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Will Rogers College, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Durant will take on the Dutch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holland Hall presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Lions in Oklahoma (the Dutch are ranked 17th, while the Lions are ranked 324th). As for Will Rogers College, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Buffaloes at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McAlester is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
