Meanwhile, Holy Cross waltzed into Friday's game with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They claimed a resounding 66-6 victory over Bay Area Christian at home.
Gibby Alvarado was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 170 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also punched in a rushing scores. Nicholas Hall was another key contributor, picking up 95 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Cypress Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Holy Cross, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Cypress Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Holy Cross in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, but they still walked away with a 36-32 win.
