Meanwhile, Apollo came up short against Muhlenberg County on Tuesday and fell 58-48. Apollo has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Apollo had strong showings from Jenna Dant, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, and Jennifer Lee, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Daviess County's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6. As for Apollo, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 16 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Daviess County have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Apollo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
