The Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 55-39 to Greensboro Day School. Wesleyan Christian Academy has not had much luck with the Bengals recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kennedy Jackson, who scored 20 points along with three blocks and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sara Kate Carr, who scored seven points along with three steals and two blocks.
Wesleyan Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Greensboro Day School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wesleyan Christian Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome the at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Caldwell Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Trojans are ranked 53rd). As for Greensboro Day School, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Furies at 2:30 p.m. Forsyth Country Day is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.
