Rising Sun and Havre de Grace are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Rising Sun Tigers will stay at home for another game and welcome the Havre de Grace Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Rising Sun stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard last Thursday. They claimed a resounding 62-16 victory over Harford Tech at home. Given Rising Sun's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Harford Tech is ranked 175th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Even though Havre de Grace has not done well against Harford Tech recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Havre de Grace came out on top against Harford Tech by a score of 41-33. The win was just what Havre de Grace needed coming off of a 53-22 defeat in their prior match.
Rising Sun's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Havre de Grace, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Rising Sun strolled past Havre de Grace when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 54-36. Does Rising Sun have another victory up their sleeve, or will Havre de Grace turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
