The Green Level Gators put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 56-43 victory over Riverside-Durham. Given Green Level's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Riverside-Durham is ranked 124th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Green Level's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trey Manhertz led the charge by scoring 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Trevor Manhertz, who scored 11 points.
Riverside-Durham lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaden Butler, who scored four points along with nine steals and nine blocks. That's the first time this season that Butler posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Kelleh, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
