West-Oak has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Crescent Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully West-Oak focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
Last Friday, West-Oak lost to Walhalla at home by a decisive 48-31 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West-Oak in their matchups with Walhalla: they've now lost nine in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Reagan Mobley, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Miley White was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Crescent took a serious blow against Walhalla on Wednesday, falling 67-35. Crescent has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West-Oak's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Crescent, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for West-Oak against Crescent when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 49-22 victory. With West-Oak ahead 27-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
