After a string of four wins, St. Charles's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 40-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Point. When it comes to explaining why St. Charles lost, one person who can't be blamed is McKenzie Thomas. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Jadyn Forbes was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
St. Charles' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for North Point, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road.
St. Charles will challenge Chopticon at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chopticon and St. Charles are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for North Point, they will be playing at home against La Plata at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. La Plata will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while North Point is ranked 55th).
