Basketball Recap: Turner Comes Up Short

Turner's tournament run continued when they took on Fort Worth THESA on Friday. The Turner Lions were beaten by the Fort Worth THESA Riders 75-46.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Austin Castro, who posted eight points. Sahil Anand was another key player, putting up six points.

Fort Worth THESA got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Judah Graham out in front who went 6 for 14 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wilson Farmer, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Turner's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Fort Worth THESA, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Turner didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-57 win against Young Men's Leadership Academy on the 28th. As for Fort Worth THESA, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-43 victory against Castleberry on the 28th.
