Falls City extended the longest winning streak in 1A-2 Region IV District 14 this week by beating Louise, 54-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Falls City led the league in scoring this week by notching 54 points on the Hornets. Justin Twine threw for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 158 yards in the win.
Twine put up the best numbers through the air as Steve Marbach's team topped Louise. Twine's favorite target this week was Austen Camber, who caught 2 passes for 37 yards.
Falls City's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Beavers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dean Gaskamp has thrown for 650 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Camber has 16 catches for 300 yards.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when the Beavers' Camber goes up against Runge's Jeric Esparza.
Falls City's Twine is a mere 68 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 53 carries Twine has put up 932 yards this year.
Next week's game between the Beavers and Runge will feature an aerial matchup as Gaskamp tests his arm against Esparza's defensive ability.
