Eau Claire Memorial had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.3 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. They blew past the Marshfield Tigers 69-48. The Old Abes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 21 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Marshfield lost, don't look at Zaida Kolbeck. Despite the final result, she posted 26 points. The game was Kolbeck's fourth in a row with at least 20 points. Hailey Klumb was another key player, putting up eight points.

Eau Claire Memorial's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points over those games. As for Marshfield, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-12.
