Martinsville hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with  a   41-28  victory over the Perry Meridian Falcons  on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Artesians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Leading Martinsville to victory were  Ruby Murrell and  Jade Meade.  Murrell  posted ten  points and three  steals, while  Meade  put up ten points and five  boards. Another player making a difference was  Mya Lewis, who  scored six  points and six  rebounds.
 Despite the loss, Perry Meridian still got an impressive performance from   Mariah Thomas, who  earned seven points and five  boards.
Martinsville has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-13 record  this season. As for Perry Meridian, their loss was  their tenth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 1-18.
 Martinsville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  68-42  defeat against Jasper on the 25th. Perry Meridian has also  already played their next matchup,  a  36-31  loss against Whiteland on the 28th.
