The Gretna Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Friday after their eighth straight  defeat. They took a  58-43 bruising from Millard South. Gretna has struggled against the Patriots recently, as their  contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
 Gretna's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Maggie Miller, who  scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was  Alexis Cerone, who  scored 11 points.
 Gretna has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost nine of their last 11 matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Millard South,  the  win  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-9.
 Gretna will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against the Huskies at 5:30  p.m. Hopefully Omaha Northwest focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 17 on Saturday. As for Millard South, they will head out on the road to  face off against  the Mustangs on Tuesday. Millard North will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
