After flying high against the Jackson Christian Royals on Monday, the Lansing Christian Pilgrims came back down to earth. Lansing Christian took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saranac on Wednesday. Lansing Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Saranac apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.
When it comes to explaining why Lansing Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is David Hall. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with six rebounds. Hall scored a full 55.3% of Lansing Christian's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ethan Damesworth was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Lansing Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Saranac, their victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lansing Christian will play host again and welcome Dansville, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Saranac will be home for the holidays to greet Pewamo-Westphalia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pewamo-Westphalia's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
