Frankfort scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 82-64 victory over Suttons Bay. Given Frankfort's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Suttons Bay is ranked 372nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Elk Rapids' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Gaylord 50-45.
Frankfort's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Elk Rapids, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Frankfort suffered a grim 66-45 defeat to Elk Rapids in their previous matchup back in February. Can Frankfort avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
