Basketball Recap: Andrew Jackson Academy Piles Up the Points Against Beaufort Academy

There's no place like home for Andrew Jackson Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 81-47 victory over the Beaufort Academy Eagles. That looming 81-47 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors yet this season.

Gage Dicks was his usual excellent self, going 12 of 19 en route to 27 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Oliver Barnes was another key player, going 6 for 13 on his way to 18 points and eight boards.

Andrew Jackson Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beaufort Academy only pulled down six offensive rebounds.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jace Paulk, who posted 14 points. Paulk continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Gunnar Andrews also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.9 points per game. As for Beaufort Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
