The Brush Beetdiggers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Frontier Academy 62-24 at home. The win was some much needed relief for Brush as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brush to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karime Castillo, who scored ten points along with eight steals and six assists. Another player making a difference was Sarah Becker, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Despite the defeat, Frontier Academy had strong showings from Emily Gesick, who scored ten points, and Aaliyah Richardson, who scored seven points.
Brush's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Frontier Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Brush will look to defend their home court on Monday against Resurrection Christian at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Resurrection Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday. As for Frontier Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Strasburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Strasburg will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
