The Barrington Fillies/Broncos will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Naperville Central Redhawks at 7:00 p.m. Barrington is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Barrington stacked a fourth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on Glenbrook South with a sharp 42-18 win. Given Barrington's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Glenbrook South is ranked 63rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dillon Fitzpatrick continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 223 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry. Fitzpatrick hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Calvin Jackson, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Barrington's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. Leading the way was Devan Van ness and his five sacks.
Meanwhile, Naperville Central beat Downers Grove South 31-22 on Friday.
Barrington's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. As for Naperville Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
