The Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials are taking a road trip to take on the East Vikings at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Plymouth Whitemarsh 4, East 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Monday, Plymouth Whitemarsh needed a bit of extra time to put away Quakertown. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 10-7. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Colonials considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
Rian Reed was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Reed was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gia Bono, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Emma Keely also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
East came out on top against Sun Valley on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run third inning. The Vikings put the hurt on the Vanguards with a sharp 14-2 victory. With that win, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Like Plymouth Whitemarsh, East also got a great game from a two-way player: Ferri Ava. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Ava was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Caelyn Rodriguez was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. Cross Daria was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
Plymouth Whitemarsh is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for East, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.
East's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Plymouth Whitemarsh has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for East, though, as they've been averaging only 3.1 strikeouts. Will Plymouth Whitemarsh keep running through batters, or will the Vikings buck the trend?
Plymouth Whitemarsh couldn't quite finish off East in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Colonials avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
