If
the ThunderRidge Grizzlies were expecting to get some payback for the 49-47 defeat against
the Chaparral Wolverines when they previously met last December, then they were left disappointed. This past Friday, the Grizzlies lost to Chaparral at home by a decisive 53-40 margin. ThunderRidge's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
The top scorer for Chaparral was senior Kobe Sanders (19 points).
The loss dropped ThunderRidge's record to 12-9. The win -- their sixth in a row -- raised the Wolverines' record to 15-6.
ThunderRidge will take on Legend on Tuesday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 32 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close game. Chaparral will be playing at home against Heritage on Tuesday. Unlike Chaparral, Heritage will be limping in after taking a loss.
