This season hasn't been kind to the Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers, who are still winless after their ninth contest. They had to suffer through a rough 69-23 loss at the hands of Century. Joppa-Maple Grove was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-12.
Century got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Karleigh Jones out in front who scored 19 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Dillow, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Joppa-Maple Grove's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Century, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Joppa-Maple Grove will take on Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Century, Century and Hardin County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
