Leander is 0-4 against Hendrickson since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Leander Lions will be playing at home against the Hendrickson Hawks at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Leander and three for Hendrickson.
Leander fell victim to A&M Consolidated's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Tigers 72-0. While losing is never fun, Leander can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 745th, while A&M Consolidated is ranked 142nd).
Meanwhile, Hendrickson pushed their score all the way to 45 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Cedar Park.
The losses dropped Leander to 1-6 and Hendrickson to 3-4.
Leander came up short against Hendrickson when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 18-10. Will Leander have more luck at home instead of on the road?
