Even though the Spencer Greenwave have not done well against the Northside Patriots recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Spencer managed a 48-43 victory over Northside. The victory was just business as usual for Spencer, who after three games remain undefeated this season.
Spencer's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexandria Berk, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds. Malaja Dyous was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Spencer pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Northside, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Spencer will head out on the road to face off against Social Circle at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Social Circle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for Northside, they will be playing at home against Shaw at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Shaw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
