The Central Christian Comets will head out on the road to square off against the Oberlin The Phoenix at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Saturday, things could have been worse for Central Christian, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-53 loss to Open Door Christian. Central Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Oberlin, who are still winless after their eighth match. They were the victim of a rough 63-38 defeat at the hands of Columbia on Tuesday.
Despite their defeat, Oberlin saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Carmello Williams, who scored 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Gus Green, who scored eight points.
Central Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Oberlin, they bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
