The Cranston East Thunderbolts were the 49-37 winner over the Tiverton Tigers when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Cranston East took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tiverton. Cranston East has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cranston East lost on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mya Jiminez, who scored 14 points. Jayna Gunderway was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Cranston East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Tiverton, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Cranston East will head out on the road to challenge Moses Brown at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Moses Brown's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Cranston East has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. Tiverton will take on Mt. Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
