Given Glendale Prep Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while Highland Prep is ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Highland Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Anahi Nunez and Aaliyah Minick. Nunez scored 13 points along with six rebounds, while Minick scored nine points.
Glendale Prep Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Highland Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.
