The North Schuylkill Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 91-27 stomp they got on the road against Belleville Mennonite. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory North Schuylkill has managed all season.
North Schuylkill had a senior duo take command as Zane Zulkowski scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and three steals and Jack Keiter scored 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The match was Zulkowski's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zachary Marcinowski, who scored nine points along with three steals.
North Schuylkill has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Belleville Mennonite, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
North Schuylkill will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lehighton at 7:00 p.m. Lehighton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Belleville Mennonite will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Centre County Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
