Lewisburg extended their postseason success on Saturday against Germantown. They put the hurt on the Mavericks with a sharp 12-5 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.
Emma Abrams was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Abrams was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Mikayla Johnson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lindey Willhite, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Lewisburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Germantown only posted a batting average of .258.
Lewisburg's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-13. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Germantown, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-10.
