On Saturday, the Eldorado Golden Eagles faced the Rio Rancho Rams in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Eldorado came out on top against Rio Rancho by a score of 54-41. The win made it back-to-back wins for Eldorado.
Bella Hines continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 35 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Eldorado's points. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Lewis, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Eldorado has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Rio Rancho, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Eldorado will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rio Rancho, Rio Rancho and Capital will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
