Midway waltzed into two weeks ago's match with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Weiss 41-17.

Meanwhile, Waxahachie got themselves on the board against Skyline on Thursday, but Skyline never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 21-0 margin over the Raiders. Given Waxahachie's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Skyline is ranked 226th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Midway couldn't quite finish off Waxahachie in their previous meeting back in September of 2021 and fell 24-21. Can Midway avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
