The Skyline Grizzlies had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 68-36 stomp they got on the road against Jordan. Considering Skyline has won four matches by more than 27 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Shay Shippen was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 20 rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Skyline's points. Kysa Shippen was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Skyline's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Jordan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyline won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pocatello at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Pocatello has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Jordan, they will be playing at home against Tooele at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
