Pantego Christian lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aj Brooks, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Brooks has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tristan Brown, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and five steals.
Lake Country Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sean Benton, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Benton also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Bryce Fagley was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Pantego Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season. As for Lake Country Christian, their win ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-24.
Pantego Christian will challenge the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive. Lake Country Christian will take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. High Point Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
