Allen hasn't had much luck against Plano West recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will host the Wolves at 7:15 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Allen's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Princeton as they made off with a 17-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Morgan Wright made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addie King, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Rebecca Liu, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Allen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Plano West, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over McKinney on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won five in a row.
Isabella Dunn was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Amelia Nell was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Allen is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-13-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Plano West, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Allen hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Plano West struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs.
