There's no place like home for The Western Wayne Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They breezed by Lakeland at home to the tune of 41-14. The result was nothing new for Western Wayne, who have now won four games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Leading Western Wayne to victory were Frankie Leyshon and Josh Vinton. Leyshon threw for 144 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes, while Vinton gained 167 total yards and three touchdowns. Sean Owens got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Western Wayne's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23 points. As for Lakeland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
