The Exeter Monarchs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight defeat. They lost to Reedley at home by a decisive 61-46 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Exeter of the 57-51 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Exeter lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aden Plyman, who scored 14 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Taylor, who scored 18 points.
Exeter has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season. As for Reedley, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-17.
Exeter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Reedley, they will head out on the road to face off against Delano at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Delano is coming into the contest with four straight losses at home, meaning Reedley will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
