After a string of three wins, Center Line Prep's's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 62-43 bruising from Trillium Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Center Line Prep has scored all season.
Keymarryon Fishburn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Trillium Academy, scoring 27 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Fishburn has scored at least 25% of Trillium Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylin Bradford, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Center Line Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Trillium Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Center Line Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Redford Union at 2:40 p.m. on January 7, 2024. Trillium Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Erie-Mason at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Erie-Mason will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 485th, while Trillium Academy is ranked 87th).
