After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Norfolk Catholic, Winnebago was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 70-24 win over the Winside Wildcats. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

Rahikim Free-Bass was the offensive standout of the contest as he went 8 of 13 en route to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Kellen Medina, who posted 12 points.

Despite the loss, Winside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyler Paulsen put up 13 points and six boards. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for Paulsen.

Winnebago's record now sits at 5-7. As for Winside, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Winnebago has already played their next game, a 71-35 victory against Tri County Northeast on the 14th. As for Winside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 75-49 defeat against Omaha Nation on the 14th.
