Meanwhile, Landmark Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Columbia, falling 63-18. Landmark Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-8.
Despite their loss, Landmark Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Melody Painter, who scored ten points along with four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Nikolette Soden was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Elite Scholars Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Landmark Christian, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
Elite Scholars Academy ended up a good deal behind Landmark Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, losing 45-27. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Painter, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
