After losing to Granite Hills the last time they met, Strathmore decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Spartans blew past the Grizzlies 7-1 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
Gracie Gillis made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Mollie Gillis was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Elisabeth Ceballos was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
