After a string of 17 wins, Verrado's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canyon View Jaguars. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Vipers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Verrado saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Grabau, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Verrado's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 17-2. As for Canyon View, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-4.

Coming up, Canyon View will welcome Desert Edge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Verrado will be paying especially close attention to the Jaguars' match: after the Jaguars faces off against the Scorpions, they'll take on Verrado again at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
