After flying high against the Toronto Red Knights on Friday, the East Liverpool Potters came back down to earth. East Liverpool took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southern. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for East Liverpool in their matchups with Southern: they've now lost three in a row.
East Liverpool's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kenzie Headley, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds, and Dacianelle Andrews who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Walker, who scored 7 points.
East Liverpool's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southern, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
East Liverpool will head out on the road to face off against Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southern, they will be playing at home against Leetonia at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
