Cypress is 5-0 against Crean Lutheran since October of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Cypress Centurions will be playing at home against the Crean Lutheran Saints at 7:00 p.m. Cypress is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Cypress on the road against Valencia as the team secured a 42-14 victory. Cypress' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Aidan Houston was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Rocco Burdett was another key contributor, rushing for 35 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three game, Crean Lutheran finally came back down to earth on Friday. They suffered a tough 21-0 loss at the hands of Tustin.
Cypress' win bumped their season record to 5-3 while Crean Lutheran's loss dropped theirs to 6-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's match: Cypress has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 157.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Crean Lutheran struggles in that department as they've been averaging 148.2 per game. It's looking like Saturday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
