The Legacy Prep Christian Academy Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Brentwood Christian Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Legacy Prep Christian Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Brentwood Christian will be coming in after a defeat.
Legacy Prep Christian Academy gave up the first points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged Bay Area Christian out 17-14. The win was just what Legacy Prep Christian Academy needed coming off of a 47-0 loss in their prior game.
Legacy Prep Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Kyle Prazak, who picked up 133 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Wyatt Francis, who rushed for eight yards and a touchdown. Prazak's longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards. Nathan Timm also helped out with an impressive 97 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Brentwood Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 48-0 loss at the hands of Cypress Christian. Brentwood Christian was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Legacy Prep Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Brentwood Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Legacy Prep Christian Academy strolled past Brentwood Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2022 by a score of 55-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Legacy Prep Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
