Softball Recap: Southlake Carroll Finds Home Field Redemption Against Trinity

There's no place like home for Southlake Carroll, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Trinity Trojans 11-0 on Wednesday. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Olivia Wiske looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Kelli Warden was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February of 2024. Lilly Page was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Southlake Carroll was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 9-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Southlake Carroll's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Trinity, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10-1.

Coming up, Southlake Carroll will venture away from home to take on Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Timber Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Southlake Carroll's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Trinity, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Byron Nelson at 7:00 p.m. Trinity's pitchers better be ready for this one: Byron Nelson has averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
