Basketball Recap: Hammond Bishop Noll Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Hammond Bishop Noll extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Ecrin Mart. The Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors took down the Calumet Christian Patriots 64-50 on Friday thanks in part to Mart, who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine rebounds. Those 29 points gave her a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Giniya Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.

Calumet Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Makenna Landkrohn, who posted 15 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Landkrohn, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Hammond Bishop Noll has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Calumet Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-5.

Hammond Bishop Noll wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-46 win against Whiting on the 1st. As for Calumet Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Timothy Christian at 6:30 a.m. on February 11th.
